Awaken Chiropractic Joins Home and Garden Show as Silver Sponsor

GAINESVILLE, FL – October 07, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Awaken Chiropractic took part in the 2026 Our Town Home and Garden Show as a Silver Sponsor and exhibitor, staffing a booth at the Alachua County Sports and Event Center at Celebration Pointe on August 29 and 30. The practice, which provides chiropractic care in the Gainesville area, used the two-day show to meet homeowners, offer scans at its booth, and answer questions about posture and spinal health from visitors of all ages.

The show is presented by Our Town Magazine in partnership with the Builders Association of North Central Florida. Organizers describe the event as a Gainesville tradition of more than 20 years and billed the 2026 edition as the return of the home show to North Central Florida, held at the new Alachua County Sports and Event Center. Exhibitors covered home, garden, patio, and renovation categories, and Awaken Chiropractic appears in the published sponsor list at the Silver level.

Dr. Sarah Hull, a chiropractor at Awaken Chiropractic, was among the team members who worked the booth over the weekend. In a post published on the practice’s Facebook page on September 1, the team thanked visitors who stopped by, received a scan, or simply said hello, and said it plans to return to the show next year.

“A home and garden show is a natural fit for a family practice because the people walking the aisles are planning fall projects, and most of those projects involve lifting, bending, reaching overhead, and long stretches on ladders or on the ground,” said Dr. Sarah Hull, chiropractor at Awaken Chiropractic. “The scan we offer at events is a brief posture and movement screening, and it is informational. It gives people a low-pressure way to ask how they are moving before they spend a weekend hauling mulch or hanging drywall, and the general guidance we share at the booth is education, not individual advice.”

The practice describes the booth scan as a starting point rather than a diagnosis or an examination. In the office, new patients begin with a one-on-one consultation and a chiropractic examination, with digital X-rays taken when the doctor considers them appropriate, followed by a second visit where the doctor reviews the findings and outlines a recommended care plan. That two-visit sequence is outlined on the practice’s website, and the practice notes that a scan at a community event does not replace that process or an individual evaluation.

The sponsorship continues a year of community events for the practice. Awaken Chiropractic hosted a Summer Family Fun Fest on June 13 and designated August as Kids’ Month with a Spirit Week for young patients. The Home and Garden Show placed the practice in front of a broader audience of homeowners and families from across Alachua County, many of whom were meeting the team for the first time.

“Dr. Brittany and I both grew up in Gainesville, so showing up at events like this one is part of how we stay connected to the community that raised us,” said Dr. Shane Semegon, chiropractor at Awaken Chiropractic. “We talked with people who had never been inside a chiropractic office and with families who have been coming to us for years. Both conversations matter to us, and the show gave us two full days of them, so we are already planning for the 2027 edition.”

The practice is led by Dr. Shane Semegon and Dr. Brittany Semegon, both University of Florida graduates who earned their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida before returning to their hometown to open the office. Dr. Hull is also a Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate and became certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association while working in a practice focused on pediatric and maternal care. She practiced in New York and Indiana before returning to Florida and joining the Awaken Chiropractic team.

Awaken Chiropractic is a family chiropractic practice in Gainesville, Florida, led by Dr. Shane Semegon and Dr. Brittany Semegon and supported by a team that includes Dr. Sarah Hull and office manager Lilli Anne Rowland. The practice describes its approach as neurologically based chiropractic care and serves adults, children, expectant mothers, and seniors, with areas of focus that include back and neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, pregnancy, and family wellness. Awaken Chiropractic participates in community events throughout the year in the Gainesville area.
